Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program Alumni & The Global Center for Health Innovation to Participate in the Innovation and Growth Opportunity Adventure

The Global Center for Health Innovation and HIMSS will be hosting the Innovation and Growth Opportunity Adventure on September 8, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This innovative program connects and immerses 39 alumni from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Program with four leading organizations: HIMSS (Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society), Forbo, DHG Healthcare and SmartShape Design.

“The Global Center’s success depends on the collaboration of people coming in and bringing in creative minds,” says Mike Maczuzak, founder and president of SmartShape Design.

Each of the participating organizations within The Global Center for Health Innovation will have staff meet the alumni at their showcase or booth as part of an overall, immersive experience.

“This program offers tenants of the Global Center for Health Innovation an opportunity to come together with new businesses in this area of northeast Ohio that they may not have had before,” says John Paganini, Senior Manager for Interoperability Initiatives at HIMSS. “It’s with exploration and discovery sessions, business can be conducted. That is really one of the major aspects of this building—the business to business relationships that become established. I think the Goldman Sachs program will bring in new faces together and bring new ways of partnering.”

The Innovation and Growth Opportunity Adventure’s Objectives are to:

  • Enable 10KSB Alumni and “First Mover” individuals and organizations affiliated with The Global Center for Health Innovation to experience an immersive encounter to begin to explore and discover opportunities to grow sales, partnerships and connections of impact.
  • Use the 10KSB Peer Learning model where Alumni will be paired and grouped with individuals in their installations (showrooms and booths) to begin a deep dive to clarify how each can mutually help each other to succeed, innovate and grow. As individuals and organizations.
  • Engage in a “Spark Session” to reveal and report what was learned – share this with the entire group with the intent to maintain momentum toward future sales, partnerships and new authentic appropriate relationships.
  • Enable 10KSB Alumni to not only learn about individuals and organizations operating within The Global Center for Health Innovation – but also – to become familiar with Alumni they have yet to encounter to understand about their companies and potential for working and growing together.

In addition, Pebble Films is partnering with ThinkThroughTools, LLC to produce a documentary that will follow and tell the story about the group’s effort to collaborate with leading organizations at The Global Center for Health Innovation to provide evidence of how Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Alumni are aspiring to positively impact healthcare in the community and – ideally – throughout the globe.
